Adidas 3MC x Truth Never Told Shoes
Adidas have collaborated with LA creatives Truth Never Told, using their 3MC model as a canvas for a design inspired by the hot-rod’s that populate downtown LA. The black leather upper has been detailed with tonal stitching throughout, while golden embroidery on the tongue uses a cursive font for the TNT logo. Additional gold detailing features on the lateral panel with a ‘Curb Servin’ tagline. The heel is decorated with tonal diamond stitching and a golden Trefoil logo.
With Truth Never Told’s heavy aesthetic influence, adidas delivered equally well in terms of performance. Lateral panels feature metal eyelets for improved ventilation, making these perfect for summer adventures. Additionally the innovative outsole combines flexibility, grip and boardfeel effortlessly - with a lightweight EVA sockliner for all day impact cushioning.
Truth Never Told is based in Los Angeles and is a premier lifestyle clothing brand inspired by car culture. Their production methods are undertaken completely by hand using early 1900s Cornely and Singer sewing machines. This requires untold levels of patience and skill, often meaning the garments made are totally unique with no possibility of recreation. Adidas’ aesthetic influence has been kept minimal, allowing for the master chain-stitchers to create a totally unique style while the sportswear giant ensures these are a daily wearer.
